The costs associated with these publications are covered by Article Processing Charges (APC). Typically, the APC is paid by the author, their institution, or the funding organization, with the author retaining full ownership of their work. Meanwhile, the articles are licensed by AJBMSS.

AJBMSS allows the original authors to reuse their Gold Open Access articles.

However, articles that include visual elements will require prior permission from the relevant publisher or author for the reproduction of specific figures, as these are sourced from original copyright holders.
